Something In Me

I always thought myself to be strong
Until I met You
I realized how weak I truly am
Emotionally I cannot handle life
But I surely don't want death
I couldn't handle the truth
But you humbled me
Until I could no longer deny it.
Then you began to build me up
Giving me strength from the inside
And it's been keeping me.
Life isn't any easier.
This isn't some fairy tale.
But there's something new inside me
That won't let me quit like so many times before.
There's something in me that keeps me thankful
And mindful of where I came from.
I always thought myself to be strong alone.
But it's only through you that I can do this.
